What specifically does a professional organizer do?

Professional organizers can help organize any physical space in your life. We can help with projects large and small. We bring awareness to the psychology of clutter - its effect on your mental health - and offer solutions. Specifically, we can present your belongings for review, support decision-making in what to do with your belongings, facilitate actions around removal of unwanted belongings, and set up systems to help you establish order and clarity. We call these processes decluttering and organizing.

How much do you charge for your services/do you have any minimums?

The total cost varies from project to project. As a general structure, we price our services as sessions, but we are always happy to try and accommodate customizations:

• Decluttering Session includes 3 hours with a focus on decluttering and reorganizing using existing materials/products/systems

• Single Day Session includes 4 hours and is designed to make the most of one to two spaces in a single day using materials/products/systems curated & purchased by Sorted organizing professionals

• Multi Day Session includes 8 hours and is designed to make the most of two to three spaces in one to two days using materials/products/systems curated & purchased by Sorted organizing professionals

Can I work with you if I’m on a budget?

Absolutely. We are happy to work with you and your budget. In the initial consultation we can discuss your needs and ways that we can work together while staying within your budget!

Should I buy supplies?

No need. Once you become a client, we will send a personalized questionnaire to gather information about your style preferences, budget and measurements to inform the types of materials/products/systems to purchase. We will purchase all of these supplies for you so no need to order ahead of time. Trade discounts will be passed along when available.

What is Soft Staging?

Soft Staging is a cost-effective way to define a space and make it feel more inviting to potential buyers. Unlike with traditional staging which requires renting expensive furniture, soft staging focuses on transforming what exists and bringing in only decor and accessories. We offer soft staging services coupled with our decluttering & organizing services to make your space stand out to potential buyers. Whether you’re listing the home yourself, or representing sellers, Sorted will help you go from listed to sold faster.

Where are you based/where do you travel to provide services?

We are based in Scituate, MA and are open to traveling throughout the South Shore and beyond. We regularly provide professional organizing services to clients in Cohasset, Scituate, Hingham, Marshfield, Duxbury, Pembroke, Plymouth, Norwell, Hanover, Milton and more.
